Welcome to St. Paul Lutheran Church for the Easter Season
Join St. Paul Lutheran Church for the Easter Season in Clarence Center, NY, as we gather around the risen Christ and the gifts He gives to His people. We are a bunch of people loved by God, inviting more people loved by God to join us. “Come and see,” said Jesus to His first followers (John 1:39), and “Come and see” He says to all of us. If you’ve been searching for a welcoming Lutheran church near Buffalo, NY, or a church home in Clarence, East Amherst, Williamsville, Amherst, or Lancaster, we invite you to come worship with us and share in the joy of Easter.
Why Easter Matters
Easter is not simply a spring tradition. It is the Church’s confession that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, and that His resurrection changes everything. The Scriptures say, “He is not here, for he is risen” (Matthew 28:6), and St. Paul writes that Christ “hath been raised from the dead” (1 Corinthians 15:20). That means sin’s accusation has been answered, death’s power has been broken, and hope is not wishful thinking, but a sure promise in Christ. In the Easter Season, the Church learns again to live by that promise, to hear it, to pray it, and to carry it into daily life.
Sunday Morning at St. Paul
Sunday Divine Service
On Sundays, we invite you to join us for Sunday Morning Divine Service at 9:30 AM. This is the heart of our life together, God’s Word proclaimed clearly, prayers offered with confidence, and Christ’s mercy delivered for the strengthening of faith. Whether you are new to the area, returning to church after a long time away, or simply looking for a Lutheran congregation in the Clarence Center and Buffalo-area region, you are welcome to come as you are. You do not need to have everything figured out. You only need the One who has conquered the grave.
Sunday Bible Study
Following the service, we invite you to stay for Sunday Bible Study from 11:00 to 11:30 AM as we deepen our faith in Christ’s resurrection. This is a simple, friendly time to open the Scriptures together, ask questions, and grow in the comfort of what God has promised. Easter joy is not meant to last one day. It is meant to shape the whole life of the Christian, week by week, as Christ continues to serve His people.
Tuesday Taco Dinner and Prayer Service
Beginning April 14th, we are also starting Tuesday night Taco Tuesday and Prayer Service at St. Paul’s. Join us for dinner and conversation during the 6:00 hour, followed by a simple prayer service at 7:00 PM. The prayer service will include music led by Dan Chamberland and Libby Zech, and it will end with a simple communion service for those who would like to receive. It is a midweek opportunity to slow down, pray, sing, and be strengthened in the Gospel, together with neighbors and friends.
Come and See
“Come and see.” Come worship. Come learn. Come pray. Come share a meal. Above all, come receive the love of God in Christ Jesus, risen for you, and still serving His people with mercy and peace.
