For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

St. Paul Lutheran Church

Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again. Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Welcome to St. Paul’s – we are a growing and active confessional Lutheran Church. And we would love for you to join us as we gather together and support one another. At St. Paul’s we think that church is more than something you occasionally attend – it is a life, together. It is living as sheep, listening to the voice of the Good Shepherd. We follow Jesus not because we’re good, but because we aren’t. Come and see!

St. Paul Lutheran Church is a congregation in Clarence Center, NY, serving our neighbors in Clarence, East Amherst, Williamsville, Amherst, Lancaster, and the greater Buffalo, NY area. We are a bunch of people loved by God, inviting more people loved by God to join us. “Come and see,” said Jesus to His first followers (John 1:39), and “Come and see” He says to all of us today. If you have been searching for a Lutheran church near Buffalo, NY or a welcoming church in Clarence, NY, we invite you to come worship with us and hear the good news of Jesus Christ. At St. Paul, we don’t gather because we have everything figured out. We gather because God has spoken, clearly, graciously, and truthfully, in His Word. Week by week, we hear the Scriptures read and preached so that Christ is set before us as the Savior of sinners. Jesus says, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). That promise is not a slogan, it is a real comfort for real people. Here you will find a congregation learning to live by that rest, receiving forgiveness, growing in faith, and being strengthened to love our neighbors in everyday life.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is an LCMS church, The Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, and our worship is shaped by the historic Christian liturgy. That means we gather around what God gives, His Word, prayer, and the gifts of Christ delivered to His people. In a world full of noise and pressure, the Church is a place to be made steady again, by the mercy of God. Whether you are a lifelong Lutheran, a returning Christian, or someone with no church background at all, you are welcome to join us. You do not need to “clean yourself up” first. You can come as you are, and hear what God has done for you in Christ. If you live in Clarence Center or nearby areas like East Amherst or Williamsville, or if you’re looking for churches near Amherst or in the Buffalo NY suburbs, St. Paul is easy to reach and glad to welcome you. Many people begin by searching online for a “church near me,” but what you’re really looking for is more than an address. You’re looking for a place where Jesus is preached faithfully, where Scripture is taken seriously, and where people know they need grace. That’s who we are, forgiven sinners, learning to confess Christ, pray with confidence, and serve with humility. “Come and see.” Come hear God’s Word. Come pray with us. Come learn and grow. Above all, come and receive the love of God in Christ Jesus, given freely, for you.
