St. Paul Lutheran Church invites our church family and friends in Clarence, East Amherst and the Williamsville area to join us for a relaxed evening of fellowship and conversation at our Chosen watch party. The Christian faith is personal, but it is never meant to be private. The Church is a real community gathered by Christ around His Word. Scripture describes the early Christians as those who continued steadfastly in teaching and fellowship, sharing a common life that included prayer, encouragement, and care for one another. In a world where many people feel isolated, these simple gatherings help us know one another, bear burdens together, and strengthen our bonds as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Considering the Life of Christ and the Apostles
The Chosen has helped many Christians think more deeply about the Gospel accounts and the lives of those Jesus called. While any dramatization should be received thoughtfully, it can still be a helpful prompt for conversation that leads us back to Scripture. As we watch together, we can consider questions that remain important for every generation, Who is Jesus, what does He come to do, why does He call disciples, and how does His Word form and sustain the people He gathers. These kinds of conversations are one way the Church helps one another keep Christ at the center.
If you are new to St. Paul Lutheran Church, or if you’ve been visiting and want to meet people in an informal setting, you are especially welcome. If you are already part of our congregation, your presence is a gift to others, especially those still finding their way into church community. We hope this evening will be encouraging, simple, and joyful, a chance to enjoy fellowship and to consider the Lord’s work together.
