Faith Formation for Families Workshop in Clarence, NY

Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Clarence, NY invites parents, Sunday School teachers, church leaders, and all who care about nurturing the faith of children to a “Faith Formation for Families” Workshop on Saturday morning, October 3rd, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. This free workshop will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8900 Sheridan Drive, Clarence. Families, teachers, and leaders from Clarence, Clarence Center, East Amherst, Williamsville, Amherst, Lancaster, and the greater Buffalo area are warmly invited to attend.

Passing on the Christian faith is one of the most important callings given to parents, congregations, and the whole Church. Children are formed not only by what they hear on Sunday morning, but also by the prayers, conversations, habits, and examples they see throughout the week. This workshop is designed to encourage and equip those who want to help children grow in the knowledge of Christ, the love of Scripture, and the life of prayer.

Helping Children Grow in Christ

Faith formation is not merely the transfer of information. It is the steady nurturing of children in God’s Word, worship, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, and Christian love. Parents, Sunday School teachers, and church leaders all have important roles in helping children hear the Gospel clearly and learn what it means to live as baptized children of God.

This workshop will provide a helpful opportunity to think together about how the Church and the home can support one another. Many parents want to teach the faith at home but are unsure where to begin. Many teachers and leaders desire to serve children faithfully and welcome encouragement, conversation, and practical guidance.
